During a weekend, you create your own personalised drum with a focus on high-quality, handmade drums used in shamanic practices.

During the weekend we will mainly concentrate on the traditional round/oval drum, with the option to make an octagonal drum. 

The drum is created through ritual work and we use natural materials from typical Scandinavian animals such as deer, stag, reindeer, moose or goat.  The skins are prepared in advance, but you will learn how to color them with natural plants and herbs. 

The workshop is open to everyone and we will guide you through every step of the drum creation process.

A weekend-long introduction to Seid, the ancient Nordic form of magic that has strong similarities to shamanism. In Seid we use our voice as a tool.

By reviewing historic sources, discussing various theories, and gaining first-hand experience, you will gain a broad understanding of how to use Seid in modern times, and develop your own Seid skills through singing and voice work.

In a full weekend, you get to know yourself and your being through contact with your drum and its energies. People, like drums, are different, and we have our own unique rhythm and energy when we play the drums, whether alone or in a group.

Drumming isn't just about hitting the rails; it's about collaboration, both with your own drum but also with the others in the circle. We should be able to channel and feel the power that flows with the beats, a rhythmic journey where we connect to the energy and learn to let go and "let play".

Jærtegn, (Norse: Jarteikn, meaning "pure, true - sign") is, among other things, in Nordic folklore, a type of omen from natural elements that the recipient reads with their own symbolic language. Searching for Jærtegn can be seen as a mini initiation, where we go out with an intention and return with a greater understanding/insight.

During the course of a weekend, through rituals and practical exercises, together and alone, we work towards greater insight using this animistic technique.

For two days, we dive into the rich history of runes and explore the sources available, including the rune poems.

Through a journey into the magical potential of runes and working with their writing, sound and symbolic value, you will have the opportunity to create your very own personal bindrune or runic inscription.

This workshop includes a ceremonial ritual and dedication of the power runes, marking a deep connection with these timeless symbols.

1-day workshop on sorcery from the Norse ages.

There are many examples from the ancient Sagas and the Edda of this method of practicing sorcery, consisting of magic songs and spells.

We will design and perform graphic and verbal galders, and learn about the historical sources and foundations of this powerful magical tradition.

The workshop is usually organized at our far on the island of Fyn in Denmark, however by request other locations are possible.

A two-day workshop on the ancient tradition of the sweat lodge, where we combine the therapeutic with Nordic shamanism.

On the first day, through various exercises, drum journeys and nature therapy, we work towards a personal intention that we take with us into the sweat lodge.

The sweat lodge is used as a tool for insight and cleansing. It is an opportunity to look inwards, work with the shadow sides and let go of that which no longer serves us. 

The second day is spent on contemplating and a closing ritual.

In Norse mythology, the Fylgja is a creature that protects the individual, or even an entire family. 

When we look into our Fylgja (follower) and become aware of what we are a part of, we can gain a fundamental understanding of ourselves and help us navigate through life stronger. 

We will work with personal Fylgje (followers) through nature-connection and drum journeying. Your face will be the base to make the shape, as we create a mould, which is then created out of rawhide for the mask.

A yearlong course with a comprehensive and in-depth introduction to the world of runes. We meet online every two weeks, where we carefully review the runes of the Elder Futhark, one at a time.

This course is for those who want to work thoroughly with the runes at home and meet in a community online. It can be very interesting to work with the runes in groups to reflect on how you experience the energies of the different runes and how they can be used in everyday life.

You will also have access to a Facebook group where you can discuss and ask questions along the way.

The course will be presented in both English and Norwegian/Danish and we look forward to welcoming you to this deep and enriching rune journey.
